Jumper DressOkay, so this project was a little ambitious to say the least. It started out as a sketch and then evolved into a full-blown "I'm going to make this without a pattern!" After a few weeks of looking at it and wondering what the heck I got myself into I finally finished it this morning zipper and all.

Re-used ShirtThis started out as a large purple t-shirt that was discharged and turned out to have a pretty cool pattern. So instead of just wearing the large shirt as it was I decided to look up some ideas for making old shirts into new articles of clothing. After some searching I found two tutorials that loosely explained how to turn your old large t-shirt into a cute top with pockets. So from looking at pictures I figured out how to make my own. The fun thing is the shirt is actually upside-down and the pockets are the sleeves.

SnitchThis was a birthday present for my sister. It was a little late, but she loves it and yes we are both major dorks. The gold sphere opens as a locket and inside is a small picture of a heart that I drew.
I would like to thank my friend Elyse for letting me borrow her jewelry tools and supplies. Without her this would not have been possible because I did not think the whole present thing through and didn't have all the supplies I needed, but thanks to Elyse's generosity my sister is now the proud owner of a Snitch and I have successfully made my first piece of jewelry. |
