Rachel's Adventures in Illustration

Things are moving fast between the upcoming end of the semester and the events that have been going on. Last weekend I helped at a fund raiser for The Young Woman's Caucus for their trip to New York. It was a fun and successful day thanks to everyone involved (and the pasties were delicious.)
The next big event is the Fashion Show that is on November 20th in which I will be both modeling and showing some of my own clothing. 
As for my studio work I have been severely distracted with fan art--not just any fan art--Cowboy Bebop fan art. So I've taken a break from Tinders to work in high contrast and with some of my favorite space cowboys. I don't have photos of what I'm working on right now, but I do have an example of the technique I am using. This specific piece was a gift for someone, the character Master Chief from Halo (I hope that information is correct. I take no credit for the character, it is not mine--I didn't even want to paint the thing--have you seen the armor those characters wear?!)

Everything has been going well this week so far I've successfully registered for my last semester of classes, been working on more Tinder designs, and finished a research paper that technically isn't due for another two weeks.  So now I'm in a "work in progress" stage either working on different illustrations or waiting for time to pass so I can get started on my final semester of college. Still not sure how I feel about the whole "real world" thing after graduation, but I'm ready to be done with school. 
Any-way I took some pictures of my Tinder WIPs. They're just inked so if you have any suggestions for what color they should be just let me know. Thanks!

While in Art Business class this morning I was hit with inspiration for my Diploma Works project. This meant that I got nothing 'constructive' done today, BUT I did get a lot of ideas on paper. I have three Tinder character ideas; two for illustration board and one I would like to put on a shirt or a bag or what-ever innocent piece of clothing comes my way.
